Major Vehicle Recall Issued in Canada Over Rollaway Risk

Nearly 37,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles are being recalled in Canada because of a problem that could cause them to roll away.

Transport Canada says moisture can get into the driver-side door lock switch, causing it to corrode. If that happens, the parking brake or auto park feature may not turn on when the driver’s door is opened, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

The recall affects certain 2019 to 2026 A-Class, C-Class, CLA-Class, CLE-Class, GLA-Class, GLB-Class and GLC-Class vehicles.

A total of 36,862 vehicles are included in the Canadian recall.
