Toyota is recalling nearly 17,000 vehicles in Canada because of a possible engine problem caused during manufacturing. The issue could cause engine parts to fail and may lead to the engine stalling while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects certain 2023 and 2024 Toyota Tundra trucks, 2023-2024 Lexus LX 600 SUVs and 2024 Lexus GX 550 SUVs.
Transport Canada said this recall replaces an earlier recall involving nearly 14,000 vehicles last year. Toyota will contact affected owners by mail once a fix is available.
