A man wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Oshawa has been arrested in Peterborough, where he is also charged in another homicide.
Peterborough police say 44-year-old Michael Waterman was arrested Friday afternoon after surrendering to officers at a home near Dalhousie and Aylmer streets.
Waterman has been charged with second-degree murder in a Peterborough homicide that happened on Dec. 6. He was also wanted for second-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Jeremy Russell, who was stabbed in Oshawa early Tuesday morning near Park Road South and John Street.
Russell was found with multiple stab wounds and later died in hospital. Another suspect, 33-year-old Nicholas Robbins of Oshawa, was arrested the same day and also faces a second-degree murder charge.
Police say all three men knew each other.
