The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling packages of broccoli florets because they might be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recall affects 900-gram bags of Your Fresh Market broccoli florets from Fresh Taste Produce Ltd. They were sold in six provinces, including Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. The bags have the UPC code 6 27735 27054 8, Lot #25318, and a best-before date of November 26, 2025.

The CFIA says anyone who bought the product should throw it out or return it to the store.

So far, no illnesses have been reported.

The agency warns that food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell different, but it can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant people, older adults, and people with weak immune systems are at higher risk of serious infection.

Common symptoms of Salmonella include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. In some cases, it can also lead to long-term problems like severe arthritis.
