Software Problem Hits Vehicles Nationwide in Canada

Thousands of vehicles in Canada have been recalled because of a software problem.

According to Transport Canada, the issue can cause the infotainment screen to stay blank when the vehicle is started. This means that when drivers shift into reverse, the rearview camera won’t show up on the screen.

The recall was issued by Nissan and affects these models:

  • 2025 and 2026 Infiniti QX80

  • 2025 and 2026 Nissan Armada

  • 2025 Nissan Murano

Only some trim levels are included in the recall.

In total, about 3,700 vehicles in Canada are affected.

Transport Canada says a blank rearview camera screen can make it harder for drivers to see behind them, which could increase the chance of a crash.

Nissan will notify owners by mail and tell them to visit a dealership for a software update.
