Sausages sold across Ontario have been recalled

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a food recall for certain sausages sold in Ontario because they may contain mustard that is not listed on the label.

The agency classified this as a Class 2 recall, which means there is a moderate risk of short-term or non-life-threatening health effects if the product is eaten. No images of the affected products were included in the notice.

The recall involves sausages from Mount Brydges Abattoir:

  • Mild Debrecziner
    • Sizes: Variable
    • UPC: Starts with 0203006
    • Codes: All “packaged on” dates that do not list mustard
  • Hot Debrecziner
    • Sizes: Variable
    • UPC: Starts with 0203007
    • Codes: All “packaged on” dates that do not list mustard

Consumers are advised not to eat, sell, serve, or distribute these sausages.
