Bill Clinton questioned, says he knew ‘nothing’ about Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes

Former President Bill Clinton told the United States House Committee on Oversight and Accountability that he “saw nothing” and “did nothing wrong” in connection with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Clinton testified for hours behind closed doors in New York. Lawmakers asked him about newly released Justice Department files, including a photo showing him in a hot tub with an unidentified woman. Clinton said he did not know the woman and denied having sex with her. He also said he would have cut ties with Epstein and reported him if he had known about any crimes.

His wife, Hillary Clinton, gave testimony the day before and also said she had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes. Neither of the Clintons has been accused of wrongdoing by Epstein’s victims.

Committee chair James Comer called the deposition “productive” and said video and transcripts would be released soon. During the interview, Clinton was also asked about President Donald Trump’s past relationship with Epstein. Comer said Clinton had no knowledge of Trump being involved in any crimes.

Epstein died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
