Major Vehicle Recall in Canada Affects 118,000 Units

More than 118,000 vehicles in Canada are being recalled because of a problem with their tire repair kits, according to Transport Canada.

Officials said the issue involves the nozzle on the tire repair kit. If the nozzle is not attached properly to a tire valve, pressure can build up inside the sealant bottle. This could cause the bottle cap to suddenly come off and increase the risk of injury.

The recall affects certain Honda hybrid vehicles, including:

  • Accord Hybrid (2023–2026)
  • CR-V Hybrid (2023–2026)

In total, 118,574 vehicles in Canada are included in the recall.

Honda will contact affected owners by mail. Owners will be asked to bring their vehicles to a dealership, where the nozzle on the tire repair kit will be replaced. If the sealant bottle has already been used, Honda will replace it as well.
