A 21-year-old man is in custody and facing a manslaughter charge after an investigation by police in Thunder Bay into a death at a local hospital.
Police say they were notified on April 6 after a person died in hospital from injuries believed to be caused by an assault.
According to investigators, the victim had been taken to hospital on April 5 after a fight at a local hotel.
Officers began investigating right away. On April 9, they found a suspect and arrested him.
As a result, the 21-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
