Brake failure risk prompts recall of more than 1,800 vehicles in Canada

More than 1,800 vehicles are being recalled in Canada because of a possible brake problem.

Transport Canada says a part in the brake system may not have been tightened properly. If it comes loose, drivers could lose braking power, which raises the risk of a crash.

The recall affects 2019 to 2024 Audi E-Tron models, including both SUV and Sportback versions. About 1,860 vehicles are involved.

Owners will be contacted by mail and asked to visit a dealership, where the part will be checked and tightened if needed.
