Dollarama recalls popular snack over mould concerns

Dollarama is recalling one of its popular desserts because it may be contaminated with mould.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced last week that Biskwi brand Waffles with Chocolaty Filling are being recalled. The recall applies to 180-gram packages with best-before dates between April 21 and May 12, 2026.

The CFIA warns people not to eat, sell, or distribute the affected product. The snack is sold in Dollarama stores across Canada.

The recall is listed as Class 3, meaning it poses a low risk to health.

This is Dollarama’s second food recall this year. In June, the company pulled Snowtime brand Berry Ice Smoothie Pops from shelves because they contained milk that wasn’t listed on the label. That recall was Class 2, which means there’s a moderate health risk for some people.

Other recent recalls in Canada include certain pistachio products that may contain salmonella. Those recalls affected items sold in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta.
