LED light kits recalled in Canada over fire hazard
Health Canada has recalled Hustler and BigDog LED light kits and light bars because they could overheat and cause a fire.
The recall affects 81 products sold in Canada between July 2020 and July 2026. About 1,800 were also sold in the United States. No injuries or fires have been reported.
The LED lights were sold as accessories for residential and commercial ride-on lawn mowers. Affected products include LED light bar part number 605003 and several LED light kit part numbers.
What consumers should do

Stop using the LED lights immediately.

Unplug the light bars if they are installed.

Contact the dealer where the product was purchased for a free removal and full refund, including installation costs.
Health Canada says recalled products cannot legally be resold, donated or given away in Canada.
