Organic microgreens recalled in Ontario, Quebec over possible E. coli contamination

Several organic microgreen products sold in Ontario and Quebec have been recalled because they may be contaminated with E. coli, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The recall includes Farm Boy and Kyan Culture broccoli, mild mix and spring mix microgreens with best-before dates in May.

The CFIA says the products should not be eaten and should be thrown out or returned to the store. No illnesses have been reported so far.

E. coli symptoms can include nausea, stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea. In serious cases, it can lead to kidney damage or other severe health problems.
