THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police Service say officers seized drugs worth nearly half a million dollars after carrying out a search warrant at a home in Thunder Bay on Tuesday.
Police charged three people who were inside a Golf Links Road residence. They face several charges, including being unlawfully in a dwelling, trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, possession of proceeds of crime, and firearms-related offences.
According to police, officers found about 3.4 kilograms of suspected cocaine, 285 grams of suspected fentanyl, a loaded handgun, and more than $19,000 in cash during the search. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of more than $488,000.
Those charged are a 40-year-old woman, a 48-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man, all from Thunder Bay. The 23-year-old man also faces a charge of failing to follow a release order.
All three remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
