Air Canada Flight Attendants Approve Strike Mandate Amid Contract Dispute

Air Canada Flight Attendants Vote Strongly for Strike, Travel Could Be Affected

Air Canada flight attendants have voted to go on strike, which could cause problems for thousands of travelers.

The union that speaks for the flight attendants, CUPE, said that 99.7% of its 10,000 members voted in favor of the strike.

The union says Air Canada is charging high prices to customers while not paying flight attendants enough to keep up with rising costs of living.

If a deal isn’t reached, the flight attendants could legally go on strike as early as August 16.
