Cineplex Launches Free Popcorn and Drink Refill Program for Moviegoers
Cineplex has introduced a new perk for moviegoers: free refills on large popcorn and fountain drinks. Guests purchasing these large-sized snacks can now enjoy an extra helping, enhancing their movie experience at no additional cost.
No special promotions or memberships are required for the refill offer, which is available to all Cineplex patrons. Kevin Watts, Cineplex’s Executive Vice President, shared the reasoning behind the initiative:
“Snacks are an essential part of the movie experience. By offering free refills on large popcorn and fountain drinks, we ensure our guests can fully enjoy their favorite movie treats without running out—whether during the film or even on the way home.”
The process is simple: customers can upgrade to a large popcorn or drink through the Cineplex app or at the concession counter. Refills are valid for one use on the same day and during the same visit. If a guest purchases both a large popcorn and a large drink, they’re eligible for a refill on each. However, the offer is not available for delivery orders.
This initiative follows Cineplex’s announcement in September about upcoming upgrades to its theatres. As part of a collective investment by the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), Cineplex is set to modernize and enhance its locations over the next three years, improving the overall moviegoing experience for audiences across Canada.
Cineplex’s new refill program is a step toward making outings to the cinema even more enjoyable for all guests.
