WestJet Expands Flight Services in Kelowna
Travelers flying in and out of Kelowna will soon enjoy more options as WestJet Group unveils its 2025 summer schedule. The airline plans a 15% increase in seat capacity from Kelowna International Airport (YLW), with expanded service to key destinations, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg.
This summer, WestJet will connect Kelowna with up to 151 weekly flights to nine domestic and transborder locations. Additionally, new year-round daily service between Kelowna and Seattle is set to begin on January 17, 2025, boosting the region’s connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.
“This expanded summer service represents a 24% increase in flight frequency and builds on the growth already planned for the upcoming winter season,” said Geoff Ritchie, Acting YLW CEO and Director of Commercial and Air Service, in a press release.
“WestJet is showcasing Kelowna as a premier destination for business and leisure while providing regional residents with enhanced access to North American and international destinations through Kelowna International Airport,” Ritchie added.
