Rapper P. Diddy Faces Sexual Misconduct Allegations from 120 Individuals; One Survivor Claims Abuse Began at Age 9
An attorney announced Tuesday that he is representing 120 individuals who have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul currently awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee revealed that lawsuits are expected to be filed within the next month, primarily in New York and Los Angeles. Buzbee stated that the alleged victims include 60 males and 60 females, with 25 being minors at the time of the alleged abuse. One accuser claimed he was only 9 years old when the abuse occurred. The accusations span from 1991 to the present year.
“This kind of sexual assault, abuse, and exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else. It should never have been allowed to persist for this long. This behavior has left a large number of individuals deeply hurt, fearful, and traumatized,” Buzbee said during a press conference.
In response to the allegations, Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, dismissed the claims. “Mr. Combs cannot respond to every unfounded allegation in what has become a reckless media frenzy. That being said, he emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” Wolff stated. “He looks forward to proving his innocence in court, where the truth will be determined based on evidence, not speculation.”
Buzbee noted that his law firm received more than 3,280 claims from individuals who alleged abuse by Combs. After investigating, the firm chose to represent 120 people, with additional cases still under review. Some clients have already spoken with the FBI, according to Buzbee.
The individuals represented by Buzbee’s firm come from over 25 states, with the majority from California, New York, Georgia, and Florida. The abuse allegedly occurred mostly at parties in New York, California, and Florida, where victims were reportedly given drug-laced drinks. Buzbee also claimed that some of the misconduct took place during auditions, where young aspiring performers were coerced into abusive situations with the promise of stardom.
Combs, 54, has been in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since pleading not guilty on September 17 to federal charges of using his “power and prestige” to coerce female victims into drugged sexual performances with male sex workers, known as “Freak Offs.”
Several other lawsuits have already been filed against Combs, including claims of sexual assault. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, with his legal team maintaining his innocence.
Combs is a prominent figure in the music industry, known for his work as an executive, producer, and performer. He has won three Grammys and collaborated with artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lil’ Kim, Faith Evans, and 112. In addition to founding Bad Boy Records in 1993, he created the fashion line Sean John, a vodka brand, and the Revolt TV network, selling his stake in the latter in June 2024.
Buzbee has previously represented women who accused NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct and assault.
