Hadfield contributes to increasing awareness of brain cancer.

Advocate and former astronaut hailing from Sarnia is adding his support to the cause of raising awareness for brain cancer through the Hats for Hope campaign.

Colonel Chris Hadfield is collaborating with the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, serving as the campaign’s national ambassador for this year. The Hats for Hope campaign, initiated in 2019 with the goal of spreading awareness and generating funds, aims to make a significant impact.

The funds generated through the sale of Hats for Hope toques and hoodies will be dedicated to backing research initiatives, facilitating programs, and supporting advocacy efforts in the field.

With October 24 designated as Brain Cancer Awareness Day, advocates are encouraged to don a Hats For Hope toque or hoodie and share their support on social media using the hashtag #HatsForHope.
