Toronto orders Live Nation to repair Rogers Stadium after major damage

The City of Toronto has ordered Live Nation Canada to repair Rogers Stadium after a powerful storm caused major damage to the 50,000-seat outdoor venue.

After inspecting the site, the city issued an unsafe building order requiring Live Nation to secure the stadium, keep people out of damaged areas, and hire a licensed engineer to assess the structure.

The company must submit a damage report by Sept. 8 and confirm by Sept. 11 whether the stadium is safe after repairs are completed.

Live Nation said no one was injured, but the stadium suffered significant damage. The sold-out AC/DC concert scheduled for Sept. 16 has not been cancelled or postponed.
