A popular chicken product sold at grocery stores across Canada has been recalled for the second time this month.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says Compliments Smashed 100% Chicken Burgers are being recalled because they may contain undeclared egg, which could pose a risk to people with egg allergies.
The burgers are sold at stores including Sobeys, FreshCo, Foodland, and Safeway. This latest recall applies to all packages that do not list egg on the label.
The CFIA says consumers should not eat, sell, or serve the recalled product. No illnesses have been reported, and the recall is classified as Class 2, meaning it poses a moderate health risk.
