Gas prices are expected to drop across Ontario on Friday, Sept. 11.
Gas prices are forecast to fall by seven cents per litre, from about $1.879 to $1.809 in Toronto and Mississauga.
Premium gas is also expected to drop by seven cents, while diesel prices could rise by nine cents.
Prices may fall another seven cents next week as gas stations switch to the cheaper winter fuel blend after Sept. 15.
The federal government has also extended its suspension of the 10-cent-per-litre fuel excise tax until January 2027. The tax will then gradually return to its normal rate by April 2027.
