CLE says president removed over governance concerns

THUNDER BAY — Canadian Lakehead Exhibition board members say Basil Lychowyd was removed as president because of governance issues, not criminal wrongdoing.

Members voted unanimously Wednesday to remove Lychowyd as a director and president.

The issues included removing people from membership lists, removing directors and refusing memberships.

The CLE is an agricultural society that owns several buildings in Thunder Bay and runs its annual summer fair.
