Toyota recalls more than 500,000 vehicles in Canada and U.S. over display problem.

Toyota is recalling more than 11,000 Camry vehicles in Canada because a display problem could cause turn signals, hazard lights and some warning sounds to stop working when the vehicle starts.

The recall affects about 11,159 model year 2025-26 Camrys equipped with a seven-inch display that may go blank.

Toyota says the issue could increase the risk of a crash or injury if important information, signals or warnings are not working.

Owners will be asked to take their vehicles to a Toyota dealership, where the display software will be updated for free. Canadian owners are expected to receive notices by early October.

The recall is part of a larger action involving about 655,000 Camrys worldwide, including more than 508,000 vehicles in the United States.

Owners can check if their vehicle is affected through Toyota Canada’s recall portal.
