More food products have been recalled in Canada because of possible mould contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says three types of Alfa croissants are affected:
- Croissant with Cocoa Cream Filling — 4 x (6 x 75 g), UPC 5 202535 483104. Affected lots: 107 26 and 086 26.
- Croissant with Vanilla Cream Filling — 4 x (6 x 75 g), UPC 5 202535 483128. Affected lots: 107 26 and 108 26.
- Double Croissant with Strawberry Jam & Vanilla Cream Filling — 4 x (6 x 75 g), UPC 5202535 483111. Affected lots: 09726 and 108 26.
The products have best-before dates ranging from Oct. 4 to Oct. 15, 2026, and were distributed across Canada.
Costco previously recalled some Alfa cocoa-filled croissants because of possible mould. The latest CFIA notice includes additional products.
The agency advises consumers not to use, sell, serve or distribute the affected croissants.
The recall is classified as Class 3, meaning the risk to health is considered low or the products do not meet food regulations.
Costco also issued a separate recall earlier this week for yogurt sold in Canada over possible mould contamination.
