Recall issued for products sold on Amazon that are prohibited in Canada.

Health Canada is warning Canadians about several infant self-feeding devices sold on Amazon that are banned in the country because they can pose serious choking risks to babies.

The products allow babies to drink from bottles without a caregiver holding them or closely watching them. Officials say this can lead to choking, aspiration, serious illness or even death if a baby spits up while feeding.

About 545 units were sold in Canada before the products were removed from Amazon.ca. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

Health Canada says parents and caregivers should stop using the products immediately and throw them away so they cannot be used again.
