More than 1,700 vehicles are being recalled in Canada because of a software issue.
Transport Canada says the problem could cause the instrument panel screen not to display. If that happens, drivers may not be able to see important information like gear position, warning lights, and other key indicators.
The agency warns that missing this information could increase the risk of a crash.
The recall affects vehicles made by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, including:
- Dodge Charger (only the Charger Daytona model)
- Jeep Wagoneer S
In total, 1,762 vehicles are impacted.
The company will contact owners by mail and ask them to visit a dealership. The issue will be fixed by updating the instrument panel software.
