Premier Doug Ford Urges Universities to Remove Pro-Palestinian Encampments, Citing Safety Concerns and Public Frustration

Ontario is moving to sell a private jet it recently bought for Premier Doug Ford after strong public criticism.

The government had purchased the used jet for about C$28.9 million, saying it would be used for official travel, including trips to the United States. But critics quickly called the purchase unnecessary and out of touch.

On Sunday, Ford said the plane will be sold “as quickly as possible,” adding that now is not the right time for such an expense.

Opposition leaders and taxpayer groups argued the premier should fly commercial instead, especially while many families are facing financial challenges.
