Tim Hortons recalls mug over potential burn risk

Tim Hortons is recalling its “Donut Mug” because it may crack when filled with hot drinks, creating a burn risk.

The company says there have been 28 reports of the mug breaking in Canada, including one burn injury as of March 10. About 25,000 mugs were sold in January and February, according to Health Canada.

Customers should stop using the mug right away and return it to a Tim Hortons location for a full refund before April 22. The mugs were sold in stores and online at Timshop.ca.

Under Canadian law, recalled products cannot be sold, shared, or given away.
