Hudson’s Bay Launches Liquidation Sales at Nearly All Locations, Except Six

Hudson’s Bay Begins Liquidation at Most Stores, Excluding Six Key Locations

Canada’s oldest company, Hudson’s Bay, is beginning liquidation sales at nearly all of its stores starting this morning. The retailer announced that all but six of its locations will be clearing out inventory, with the process scheduled to conclude by June 15.

Customers can use gift cards until April 6, though loyalty points will not be accepted during the sale period.

The six stores excluded from the liquidation include the flagship location on Yonge Street in Toronto, as well as branches in Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In Quebec, the exempt stores are located in downtown Montreal, Carrefour Laval, and Pointe-Claire.

The company’s decision to liquidate follows its recent filing for creditor protection, citing financial challenges tied to declining consumer spending, reduced foot traffic in urban centers, and ongoing trade tensions between Canada and the United States.
