A dip product has been pulled from shelves in Canada due to a recall.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for Habibi’s Mediterranean brand Hummus Lebanese Style due to the presence of peanuts not declared on the label.

“Do not consume recalled products if you are allergic or sensitive, as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction,” the agency warned. “Do not serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products.”

The affected product comes in a 450 g container, with the UPC 6 83830 00911 7 and a best-before date of 06/17/25.

According to the CFIA, the recall was prompted by test results, and there has been one reported allergic reaction related to the product. Consumers are advised to discard the hummus or return it to the place of purchase.

The recalled hummus was distributed in British Columbia and Alberta, and may have also reached other provinces and territories.
