House-label brands from major grocery chains, such as No Name and Compliments, are among those affected, along with well-known names like MadeGood and Milka.

Recalled Products

Cape Breton Oatcake Society Oatcakes

  • English Toffee, 2-Pack — All codes where almond is not declared in the ingredients list
  • English Toffee, 12 units (6 x 2 Packs) — All codes where almond is not declared in the ingredients list
    Reason for Recall: Undeclared almonds. These products, sold nationally and online, pose a severe risk for individuals with almond allergies. No allergic reactions have been reported so far.
    Action Required: Check product labels and return affected items to the store of purchase.

Egg Products

Brands and Products:

  • Compliments: Extra Large, Large, and Jumbo eggs (various sizes and packaging)
  • Foremost, Golden Valley Eggs, No Name, Western Family: Eggs in multiple sizes and packaging options
    Reason for Recall: Potential salmonella contamination in specific lots. Affected products were sold in B.C., Manitoba, Ontario, and possibly other regions.
    Health Risks: Symptoms of salmonella include fever, nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.

    Reason for Recall: Salmonella contamination linked to a serious outbreak with 61 confirmed cases and 17 hospitalizations.
