Bay Meats Set to Relocate to New Location This January
A cornerstone of the Bay Street business community, Bay Meats has announced plans to relocate and expand. Under new ownership, the company has acquired Cav-Tal Foods Ltd. and will merge the two businesses at a brand-new storefront located at 701 Norah Crescent.
“Due to expanding operations, we will be closing our Bay Street storefront location, allowing us to increase production within the building,” the company shared in a statement on their Facebook page.
While longtime customers will have a new space to explore, ownership assured them that all their favorite products will still be available at the new location.
“You will still be able to purchase all of Bay Meats’ products, along with the variety of offerings Cav-Tal has provided for many years. During this transition, we will hold a clearance sale of 25 per cent off everything in-store at our Bay Street location from Dec. 30, 2024, until our last day open on Jan. 17, 2025,” the statement reads.
The owners acknowledged the emotional aspect of the move, calling it a bittersweet moment.
“We have had the pleasure of serving all of our customers on Bay Street over the years, but we look forward to this new chapter and continuing to serve you at the new location,” they said.
Bay Meats products will remain available at retail locations across Thunder Bay and the surrounding area, with online shopping continuing as usual.
