Ontario residents are being urged to check their homes for the following food items due to potential microbial contamination, which could lead to mild or severe health issues if consumed.
- White Chicken & Mushroom Sauce (1.14 kg, UPC: 8 77448 00481 1)
- Best Before Dates: Oct. 10 to Nov. 16, 2024
- Issue: Contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes
- Health Risks: Though the food may appear normal, Listeria can cause symptoms such as vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches, and neck stiffness.
- At-Risk Groups: Pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable, with risks including flu-like symptoms, premature delivery, newborn infection, or stillbirth. In severe cases, the infection can be fatal.
- Filet Royal Smoked Atlantic Salmon (170 g, Lot Number: 399417)
- Issue: Contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes
