Kleenex tissue products vanishing from Canadian retail shelves.

Kleenex tissues will no longer be available on the shelves for Canadians in the near future. The Kleenex consumer facial tissue business, owned by U.S. manufacturer Kimberly-Clark, is set to exit the Canadian market this month.

According to the Canadian vice-president and general manager of the company, this was a challenging choice to make. The decision to remove Kleenex from the Canadian market was driven by the considerable limitations in the supply chain and the brand’s encounter with distinctive challenges in the country.

Todd Fisher explains that this decision will enable Kimberly-Clark to reallocate its resources more effectively towards the ongoing presence of other products within Canada.

Kimberly-Clark will retain its offerings of Kleenex professional facial and consumer hand towel products in the Canadian market.

There will be no changes to the status of its other brands, including Cottonelle, Viva, U by Kotex, Poise, Depend, Huggies, Pull-Ups, and Goodnites – these will remain unaffected.
