ChatGPT competitor Bard; Google release to Europe and Brazil
The parent company of Google has revealed its plans to introduce a chatbot alternative to ChatGPT in both the European Union and Brazil.
This strategic move signifies the escalating battle among tech giants vying for supremacy in the realm of artificial intelligence.
Alphabet announced on Thursday that Bard is now accessible in 27 European Union countries and Brazil, expanding its reach to a broader audience. Furthermore, it has been extended to include support for 40 additional languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, German, Hindi, and Spanish.
“Curiosity and imagination are the driving forces behind human creativity,” Bard’s product lead Jack Krawczyk and vice president Amarnag Subramanya.
“Whether it’s a child inventing a game, friends dreaming up their next adventure, or an entrepreneur coming up with a new business idea, our ability to imagine new possibilities is one of our most innate human qualities. That’s why we created Bard: to help you explore that curiosity, augment your imagination and ultimately get your ideas off the ground – not just by answering your questions, but by helping you build on them.”
According to Alphabet, they have introduced several enhanced features to the chatbot, Bard. Users can now upload photos, convert text into speech, revisit previous conversations, and even share chats with friends.
In February, Alphabet initially introduced Bard, which utilizes data from Google Search, and invited users from the United States and the United Kingdom to test the chatbot.
Shortly after Elon Musk’s announcement of the establishment of xAI, an AI company aimed at rivaling OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, Bard’s expanded deployment was unveiled.
